Our Story
Pal Paints started in 2023 when Steven got tired of watching homeowners get rushed, sloppy work from crews who didn't stick around to answer for it. He set out to build something smaller and more accountable — a crew of five where the person who quotes your job is the one painting it.
We're not the biggest name in Chicago painting, and we're not trying to be. What we offer instead is direct access to the owner, careful prep on every job, and honest pricing while we grow our reputation the right way — one satisfied homeowner at a time.

What We Stand For
Honesty first
We tell you what your space actually needs — not what pads the invoice. If it's something we don't do, we'll say so.
Careful craft
Prep is most of the job. We sand, patch, caulk, and tape before a drop of paint goes on — every time, not just when it's visible.
Staying small
Five people, on purpose. It's how Steven keeps an eye on every job and stands behind what leaves his crew's hands.
